Valencia Lakes will finally get its Cafe

The senior community Valencia Lakes, the first Active Adult Community in the Valencia series built by GL Homes in 1996 in west Boynton Beach, will get its long-awaited Café according to the Valencia Lakes Homeowners Association.

The $740,000 waterfront Café will be one of the first ones in west Boynton Beach to have a delivery service for its residents.



Boynton Beach Vietnam vets get well deserved honor

Vietnam veterans in Boynton Beach are getting an overdue recognition.

In a ceremony Wednesday,U.S. Representative Lois Frankel thanked them for their service.

At the ceremony Frankel mentioned the importance of honoring the Americans who served during the war. “They don’t choose the war they want to go to, they go to stand up for our values, for our freedoms. For that we are very grateful.”

Frankel says the majority of Florida’s veterans are from the Vietnam era.


Kareem Andre Williams was found guilty of first-degree felony murder of Albert Honigman who lived in the Aberdeen Development, a West Boynton Beach gated retirement community. We was also found guilty of burglary with assault or battery and robbery.

The 28-year-old repeat felon was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in state prison.

West Boynton Beach community to hosts Autism benefit event

Aberdeen Golf and Country Club in West Boynton Beach is hosting a a three-week long series of events that will benefit ACEing Autism.

Each week participants will work on different fundamentals of the game of tennis. Participants will have an opportunity to increase their social skills through taking turns, working in teams, and following instructions.

The event will feature amazing BBQ, craft beer and live music presented by Abby Road on the River, the world’s largest Beatles inspired music festival. Each day, guests will enjoy favorite Beatles songs performed by the most popular tribute bands from around the world: BritBeat, The Newbees, The Jukebox, English Channel, etc. There will also be a rock wall, face painting, roaming magicians and family friendly games and activities for children of all ages. Sure to be a highlight of the weekend is the celebrity-judged Flying Pigs Public Choice Award BBQ Competition between 30 local restaurants and a special craft beer tasting garden. The hope is that the festival will raise enough funds to purchase 5,000 turkeys to be distributed to those who are faced with hunger in Palm Beach County. 4th Annual Delray Beach Wine & Seafood Fest

The Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce continues its’ decades long tradition of producing unique and entertaining street festivals. Now in its fourth year, the 2015 Delray Beach Wine & Seafood Festival offers visitors the opportunity to stroll the palm tree lined streets of Delray while enjoying a great glass of wine or a plate of delectable seafood.

To bring us closer to the sea, we have moved the festival to A1A at the foot of Atlantic Avenue directly in front of Boston’s on the Beach, Café Luna Rosa and the Marriott hotel. The heavenly smell of the ocean mixes with aroma of freshly cooked seafood.
